Baby Sketch

Until my son was born I never thought to draw babies. I really have no practice in this area. Babies are such expressive little critters. I'm looking forward to trying a few more.

I also realized, as you may notice by the lack of completed hands and feet, that I am a little rusty in the fingers and toes department. I think I will begin concentrating more on that in my future drawings.

Humph

I seem to be able to concentrate better when I draw during meetings. I know it sounds shady but it's true. I seem to get less distracted when my eyes are fixed on the page and my ears are set to listening.

Double Entendre

This was a quick little sketch from yesterday. I went ahead and painted it flat. I may render it further later. It's good to be drawing again.

1st Digital Painting

I finally finished my first digital painting. I learned a lot in the process but there is still so much I don't know. My goal is to do a warm sketch or painting each morning to get the mind going and to get some practice in. We'll see what happens.

Oscar Digital Paint

I am learning how to paint in Photoshop CS4. It is laborious but enjoyable. I am sure my skill will improve as I practice and learn new techniques . This is the beginning stage of my first attempt. I still have along way to go.

It's been a long time since my last post. We have one less dog and My wife and I had a baby boy. So needless to say a lot of things have taken a back seat since the little guy entered our lives. He's a real joy to have in our home though and is getting more enjoyable to watch with each passing day. He is growing so fast.

Anyway, today I had a free moment to do this quick sketch. My wife named him Oscar.
